Chef Kevin Erving Earns “Best in Show” at Taste of Vail 2026

We are proud to share that Chef Kevin Erving, the creative force behind the culinary program at The Gambit Bar, has been awarded “Best in Show” at the 2026 Taste of Vail Buckhead Meat Après Challenge Cook Off.
This marks a back-to-back victory, following his First Place win in 2025 at the Fitz Ranch Beef Après Challenge Cook Off—further solidifying his place among the valley’s most celebrated culinary talent.
Set in the heart of Vail, Taste of Vail brings together top chefs to showcase innovation, technique, and bold alpine flavors. Chef Kevin’s continued recognition reflects a commitment to thoughtful sourcing, elevated execution, and a culinary perspective that is both refined and distinctly of the mountains.
In addition to his competition wins, Chef Kevin has earned the People’s Choice Award four times, a testament to both his creativity and the guest experience he delivers:
