FEAST! VAIL SCHEDULE

Created to inspire guests with a weekend packed full of delicious culinary experiences and Vail adventure. FEAST! Vail kicks-off the summer season with the adventurous, Memorial Day Weekend culinary celebration. Renowned Vail chefs will collaborate and compete with guest chefs. Chefs will be joined by masters of the vine, cocktail artisans and craft beer pros –all game for adventure, from the kitchen table to the mountain trail. 

 

FRIDAY, MAY 24​
6 - 9PM Small Plates, Big Valley Flavors, Solaris Plaza - $75 per adult / $15 (Age 14 & under)
Lookout Vail, we’re serving up the ultimate small plates experience to kick off the holiday weekend with delicious style! Enjoy a small plates tasting presented by celebrated Vail Valley and talented guest chefs. No inaugural feast would be complete without sips and tunes--so we’ve added wines, microbrews, hand-crafted cocktails, and live Bluegrass music to the mix! To top it off, you’ll have the opportunity to choose your favorite bites and help us crown a Best Bites Bunch. Limited to 250 ppl.

SATURDAY, MAY 25
9-10:30AM Yoga for a Cause, Gore Creek Promenade - Requested Donation
Begin your day in the mountain air with local yogis and an hour-long class for all abilities—followed by a refreshing smoothie. This community event is first-come, first-served—be sure to bring your own mat.  No ticket is necessary and all donations raised will benefit Habitat for Humanity of Eagle and Lake Counties and Africa Yoga Project. Limited to 25 ppl.

10AM-1:30PM Belay & Brunch, Vail Vitality Center & Terra Bistro - $45 per person w/ climbing | $30 per person brunch only
(12 PM-1:30PM Brunch only)

Take Memorial Day Weekend to new heights with an instructional climbing clinic at the Vail Vitality Center. After you’ve reached your personal peak on the wall, you’ll cool down over a healthy brunch at Terra Bistro, complete with Bloody Mary or Mimosa to toast your accomplishment. The event is open to all levels of expertise, no equipment necessary—just bring your sense of adventure and your appetite! Limited to 25 ppl.

Sweet Inspiration: Dessert Fondue, Sonnenalp, Swiss Chalet
Hands-on tasting with Sonnenalp Executive Pastry Chef, Bernie Oswald, who celebrates this delightful and delicious favorite with personal recipes and pairings, from decadent chocolate fondue to seasonally healthy yogurt based fondue. Chef Oswald offers an insider’s look at the tradition behind this entertaining classic.  Includes a signature cocktail to round out the experience. Limited to 40 ppl

Pizza & Craft Beer, Vail Blue Moose

Enjoy delicious, hand-crafted pizza inspired by the freshest local, seasonal ingredients sourced by Chef Jay McCarthy. This delicious tasting includes craft beer flights designed to complement a perennial favorite, Rocky Mountain style! Limited to 30 ppl
Make the Most of Your Grill with Rubs, Brines, and Marinades, Sweet Basil

Maximize Flavor with Minimal impact to your Wallet. A demonstration of how to take more economical cuts of meat and improve flavor and texture via the rubs, brines and marinades. 25 ppl.

Summer Sparklers, Solaris Plaza
Join us as we raise our glass to sunshine in the mountains, and the wines guaranteed to make the season sparkle. Elway’s Sommelier Jim Lay will be your host as you make your way through a variety of sparkling wine—crafted from many different grapes and in many different styles--paired with the perfect cheeses to complement the occasion and summer entertaining. Limited to 50 ppl.

Rugged Reds, Solaris Plaza

In a nod to the Vail Valley lifestyle, Elway’s Sommelier Jim Lay has curated an adventurous tasting of wines from rugged wine producing regions. From Argentina’s rich Mendoza region, to hearty wines produced under the Sicilian sun, and great pours from the Pacific Northwest, we’re celebrating the spirit of adventure through the wine. Includes a tasting of cheeses to round out the experience. Limited to 50 ppl

4-5:30PM Pinot Boot Camp, Solaris Plaza - $40 per person
Fun, interactive immersion tasting that celebrates one of the world’s most popular varietals. Sommelier Nick Noesen will deep dive into all things Pinot, provides a window into the capacity of Pinot Noir to reflect the unique characteristics of the region in which the grapes are grown--and the different styles and personalities that are reflected in the pours. Includes a tasting of cheese to round out the experience.Limited to 50 ppl

4-6PM Pins & Pours, Bol
Get Happy Hour rolling with cool, retro cocktails, bites and a game or two with your favorite chefs on the lanes at Bol. Admission and live entertainment are complimentary; FEAST! Cocktails, bites and Free bowling are available from 4-6 pm.


 

SUNDAY, MAY 26
8:30-11:30AM Trail Mix, Tavern on the Square, Lionshead - $45 per person w/ hike | $30 per person brunch only
(10AM-11:30AM Brunch only)

Warm up for another day of culinary action with an intimate, hosted hike up Vail Mountain with a trail expert as well as a couple of FEAST! chefs. You’ll be rewarded with a breathtaking view and a delicious brunch at Tavern on the Square which includes their signature Bacon Bloody Mary and Mimosas. The event has limited space, so secure you place on the trail! The event is open to all ability levels. Limited to 40 ppl.



9-10:30AM Casting Clinic, Gore Creek Promenade - $35 per person
Begin your day with a fly fishing clinic with Chef Kelly Liken and other chefs—plus some of the best known local professional anglers. They’ll share tales from the river and casting techniques, so just bring your appetite for adventure and for the Vail Valley lifestyle. Fly rods, espresso cart by Rimini, and a delish bite from Chef Kelly will be provided. Limited to 25 ppl

Chef Jay McCarthy hosts his own Vail Valley Best in Show with the ultimate pairing: the perfect steak with hand-crafted Bourbon from Brown-Foreman. From selecting cuts, to rubs and marinades from Sweet Basil and grilling techniques, Chef McCarthy provides a road map to the perfect steak accompanied of course, by the perfect pour. Limited to 30 ppl
Chill, Wines with Attitude, Solaris Plaza

Join us as we take an unexpected turn and celebrate wines with well-deserved attitude that stand out in the crowd. From refreshing Albarinos from Spain to robust white blends, you’ll kick into chill-mode as we take you on a memorable tasting that gives new meaning to Chilling in the Rockies. Wines will be paired with the perfect cheeses to enhance the experience. Limited to 50 ppl
Farm to Glass, Elway’s

Elway’s Jim Lay is committed to sourcing fresh ingredients locally, and introducing inspired specialty cocktails on a weekly basis. He shares his passion for farm to glass cocktail culture, in a spirited, memorable immersion experience. Come thirsty, we promise this is one FEAST! first that will change the way you look at cocktails. Limited to 40 ppl

‘Q-Friendly Wines, Solaris Plaza

When it comes to Q-friendly wines, reds are the easiest—with Zins and Merlot topping the list. That said, the FEAST! team has talked to the pros, and we’ve put together our Top 10 to pair with anything you can grill, cook on a fire pit, or  ‘Q. From Cabs with steak, Sauvignon Blanc with grilled veggies and seafood, to Zins with anything saucy, you’ll sip your way through our Top 10 varietals that are the perfect complement or summer grilling in the Rockies. Limited to 50 ppl
Farm to Glass, Elway’s

6:30PM  Vine to Table Dinner, Restaurant Kelly Liken - $125 per person
Join Chef Kelly Liken and a special guest, Chef Jeff Osaka from twelverestaurant in Denver, for an intimate celebration of the pleasures of the vine and the table. This luxurious evening includes a collaborative inspired menu from the chefs accompanied by wine pairings. Space is limited so be sure to secure your spot.  Please contact Restaurant Kelly Liken directly for reservations.  Limited to 75 ppl.



MONDAY, MAY 27

7:00AM-11:30AM The Valor Races & Post-Race Manor Vail Brunch (Half-Marathon, 5 Mile Run/Walk, Family Run)

Runners and walkers will be treated to stunning Gore Range views along a moderate course on rolling, paved surfaces through residential neighborhoods and along Vail Bike Path. All participants will receive a Valor Races finisher medal and a delicious post-race brunch provided by Manor Vail Lodge. Brunch is included with athlete registration and is available to spectators on race day for a $15 fee.
